Among you

This long term project "Among You" seeks to capture members of the LGBT community in Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Traditional projects focusing on the LGBT community in these countries often centre around their struggles, inadvertently reinforcing the perception that their lives revolve solely around their identity and their challenges. However, this approach fails to recognise that LGBT individuals lead multifaceted lives, sharing the same experiences, achievements, and normalcy as the rest of society.

The situation of the LGBT community in the region presents significant challenges concerning social acceptance and equal rights. Despite some progress, discrimination and prejudice against LGBT individuals persist, hindering their full integration and participation in society.
